Reflections From Kenya | When Language Doesn't Matter...

After meeting our weavers in Kenya last week, I have been reflecting on language barriers.

It's true that speaking different languages can create a divide.

However sometimes it doesn't matter at all...

When I was with these women, I didn't want to us to converse in the same language... I feel it would have reduced our time to an intellectual interaction.

Our time together was deeper... we were a group of humans connecting. Dancing, singing and laughing - boy, did we laugh.

And I feel like we got to know each other a whole lot better that way 🤍
