Fitting right into a well-travelled home, these large handwoven sisal baskets exude story and soul.
Handwoven by female artisans in rural Kenya, every basket is a piece of art in itself and completely unique - once it's in your home, it's in no one else's.
Using all natural materials and dyes from bark, roots and soil, each basket takes up to 7 days to weave.
- Select from Large (approx 28cm x 28cm), Medium (23 x 23cm) and Small, Pair (13x13cm and 18x18cm).
- Perfect for storage (toys, towels, pillows etc) or pot plants.
- Handwoven in Kenya from kasigau sisal grass.

ABOUT THE ARTISANS
Living at the base of Mt Kasigau, South East Kenya, basket weavers live in an area that is a stunning and yet vulnerable ecosystem, home to varied and abundant wildlife.
Income from weaving is so important in that it provides a sustainable alternative to environmentally harmful practices like the poaching of elephants, giraffes and other wildlife and destruction of forests for charcoal, timber and farmland, as well as helping the beautiful women there escape poverty in their daily lives.

If you are not completely happy with your purchase, we will exchange your baskets or issue you with a credit note (valid for 6 months), provided that you email us within 7 days of receiving your order.

PLEASE NOTE: consistent with our brand values, we try and use minimal packaging possible.
If your basket is out of shape when you receive it, simply spray lightly with water using a spray bottle, and reshape by draping it over a bucket, bowl or similar while it dries.

Keep dry and out of direct sunlight as colours will fade. If basket does get wet, dry immediately.
